We offer, in Monforte de Lemos, a Pilgrim's Hostel - City Hostel in facilities located less than 100 meters from the Jacobean Route of the "Camiño de Inverno", as it passes through the city, which is the scheduled resting place between predefined stages nº 4 and nº 5.  (Other roadmaps put it between stages 5 and 6)                                                                     

The Hostel is called “Albergue Lemavo”. Located in the land of Lemavos on the pilgrimage road to Santiago called "Camiño de Inverno".

We adopt this name in reference to the Lemavo people, a tribe of Celtic origin that inhabited the "Castro Dactnium" or "Monte Forte", -currently "Monte de San Vicente del Pino"- that. Just like the Swabians and Romans did in later centuries, they chose to settle in this strategic enclave, an elevation in the middle of the valley, where the Parador Nacional de Monforte is currently located.
